Vertical GeoSolutions (VGSI)was founded in 2006 by Rick Marshall, a Geographic Information System Professional (GISP) certified by the Geographic Information System Certification Institute (GISCI). Rick has 13 years experience in implementing GIS solutions and providing GIS training. If you haven't heard of a GIS before it just means that Rick and VGSI make incredible maps and manage the information that is used to create those maps

VGSI is a Service Disabled, Veteran Owned Business. We are a diversified GIS full-service provider specializing in providing high-quality, innovative GIS solutions for the Federal Government and private industry. To ensure our employees are of the highest caliber at VGSI we only employ GISPs. VGSI's GISPs have a combined experience working with GIS solutions of over 35 years. VGSI's GISP's have deployed GIS solutions as small as a one workstation ArcView desktop solution all the way up to the Air Force Air Mobility Command's (AMC) Installation Geospatial Information and Services (IGI&S) multiuser ArcGIS Server Advanced environment for twelve separate AMC installations. We merge the talents of our experienced professionals with client and industry partners, using advanced technologies to provide practical, cost-effective, and long-term geospatial solutions.

Rick graduated from UCLA and then served 21 years as a C-130 Navigator in the US Air Force. He still serves the Air Force through VGSI as the Expeditionary IGI&S and GeoReach Program Manager for Headquarters Air Mobility Command (AMC) at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois.
